this question reminds me of an interview between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

at one point Jobs says something like, "the problem with Microsoft is they have no taste." Gates then laughs, because it's true.

while feuding startups are definitely not Apple, the fact remains that in many competitive markets you have a minority share of innovators and a majority share of feckless clones.

i'll refer to the post i already wrote to get into specifics, but in summary i think the team at Proof should focus on creating something new instead of committing IP fraud with their venture checks.
