What are 3 things you need to see before investing in a company?

i angel invest as well as purchase ownership of companies outright.

in angel investments i like to see a strong team with market expertise, traction while bootstrapping financially, and a bold pitch about the "new reality," some future they perceive that most of us don't.

in acquisitions i don't care much about the founding team since i immediately remove them. i do, however, prefer products that were first to market or have protectable intellectual property. i despise "me too" clones in all categories thus refuse to ever be one (or buy one). i also have pet preferences surrounding tech stack and marketing channels, e.g. i won't buy a company that relies on paid advertising to scale.
